The inventory of the CPAS

Credit must be given to the inventory of cultural heritage of the Public Social Welfare Centres (CPAS) since it offers the opportunity to discover some unknown collections often made up of great objects of art, belonging to the cultural heritage of communities.

This series of inventories, far from being a summary of objects from the collection, offers a study of each work of art. The way the inventories are presented varies from one collection to the other and so is adapted to the variety in kind, in importance and in the quality of available information.

Each inventory gives, firstly, a brief history of the collection it deals with and then there is the inventory per se, beginning with the buildings and following with the movable objects. Within these two main subdivisions, the inventory follows the listing of keywords from the Photographic archives of IRPA.
