Art History Seminars

In 2000, the documentation department of IRPA started a series of seminars on art history. Each year, specialists from Belgium and abroad come together to discuss where research on a particular subject stands by encouraging the uttermost interchange between the participants.

In accordance to the Institute’s mission, these seminars see to it that an interdisciplinary approach is adopted. In other words, these encounters are, for the Documentation department, the opportunity to check the state of its photographic collections by finding, if necessary, different leads to best fill in the most important gaps with the help of the specialists involved.
