David Bowie's Tintoretto studied at the KIK-IRPA

Jacopo Tintoretto's St Catherin from the former collection of David Bowie, on loan to the Rubens House, was studied by our head of imaging Christina Currie. Her examination of Tintoretto's underdrawing reveals that the painting is ten years older than presumed. The drawing also shows how he proceeded to create the painting, including a few pentimenti or changes he made in the composition.
