The preventive conservation unit

This unit takes all necessary measures in order to control the environment the works of art are found in. From a responsible conservation viewpoint, the workshop tries to create the most favorable environment when a work of art is either temporarily or permanently exhibited, packaged and stored or transported.

More precisely, this unit can:
- evaluate in a general manner the conservation conditions of a collection as well as the real condition of works of art;
- examine the environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, lighting, etc., in which a work of art is kept;
- study and advise on the appropriate equipment needed to handle the works of art.
