In 2006, KIK-IRPA is exhibiting original photographs taken in Belgium by the German occupying forces during the First World War. Between the summer of 1917 and the autumn of 1918, around thirty Germans (art historians, architects and photographers) criss-crossed Belgium and took more than 10,000 photographs, with the aim of enriching the German Iconographic Archives. These photographs are now part of IRPA's photo library.

This brochure, which served as the exhibition catalogue, gives a brief overview of the collection and its history.
