To mark Belgium's 175th birthday and the 25th anniversary of the federal state, KIK-IRPA organised the Dynasty and Photography exhibition from 20 April to 31 December 2005 at the Royal Museums of Art and History. The exhibition was not only an opportunity for visitors to admire a selection of the 850,000 photos in the Institute's photographic collection at the time, but also to understand the links that have always united our sovereigns with photography.
