The ECHOES Project is on a mission to set up the Cultural Heritage Cloud, or European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH). This shared platform will revolutionise the way heritage professionals and researchers collaborate, modernising workflows and processes.

As part of this project, the ECHOES Consultation is now open for heritage professionals, stakeholders, and researchers.

We invite you to complete the questionnaire, which aims to understand how you use digital tools in your daily work.

Your input is highly valuable in shaping the future of digital cultural heritage!

About the survey

The ECHOES consortium has the mandate to design and implement the architecture of the future Cloud for the Heritage sector in Europe, and therefore an accurate and profound knowledge of the real needs of heritage professionals from the widest range of people working in cultural heritage is crucial.

To this end, ECHOES has designed a survey to obtain an overview of the tools, processes, workflows, datasets features and data that stakeholders currently use in their work, as well what are their working needs and expectations for the Cultural Heritage Cloud. All answers are good answers, including the "don't know/don't use". Ultimately, the consultation also aims to map the broad heritage communities that in the future will engage with the Cultural Heritage Cloud.

Therefore, every single contribution will help shape the Cloud, guiding the development of its infrastructure, tools, services, training, and community-building efforts, as well impact on the projects selected for funding from the three Cascading Grant Calls since these will have to meet the identified needs. Later on, those who wish may be contacted for more in depth discussions from focus groups, workshops and targeted interviews.

Conservation of the Ghent Altarpiece continues to reveal the unparalleled virtuosity of the Van Eyck brothers

10.12.2024

As with the first two phases of the conservation-restoration project of the Ghent Altarpiece, the KIK-IRPA team has encountered extensive overpainting from the 16th century.
