Working with Glass in Belgium

In het kader van het Internationaal Jaar van het Glas van de Verenigde Naties organiseert het KIK, in samenwerking met de Koninklijke Musea voor Kunst en Geschiedenis (KMKG) en het Glas Museum van Charleroi, twee dagen van uitwisseling over dit materiaal.

Op 17 november is er in het Museum voor Kunst en Geschiedenis een lezing over de glascollecties in België, gevolgd door een bezoek aan de galerij met antiek glas en de tijdelijke tentoonstelling "Medaillons. Miniaturen in glas". In de namiddag staat er een bezoek gepland aan het KIK. Géraldine Bussienne zal een rondleiding geven van het Atelier glas en keramiek. Isabelle Lecocq zal verder haar onderzoek en activiteiten op het gebied van glas-in-loodramen, documentatie en de fototheek voorstellen. Helena Wouters zal tot slot haar werk in het Labo glas toelichten.

Op 18 november zal op de site van Bois du Cazier in Marcinelle een symposium worden gehouden rond het thema "Werken met glas in België".

Het volledige programma wordt in september bekendgemaakt.
